Vampire Hot Sauce
By Xavier Vagus
My eyes float
like marshmallow smoke
at dusk in the mist over a novel
the nymphs are asleep
and the fairies knit in their hovel
photons play pong on the treetops like
dodgeballs
blood in the street is burning -
vampire hot sauce in green glass -
a ray of glitter glue dust snakes over my
shoulder
the faded withered page shines like butterscotch
brass
and projects bouncing heart muscle shock
absorbers
wrapped in thermal warmers
and the vision of the imagination of an alien in
hyperspace on a light speed transformer
mix it with coconut juice
and crank it full blast
Vampire Hot Sauce originally appeared in The Cat and the Oriole
